Throughout my career I have had a passion for individual and organizational performance… I now have over thirty years of experience working inside organizations as well as supporting them via consulting, board service, and volunteering. My professional contributions have followed a career arc of going from efficiency to effectiveness, spanning the areas of industrial engineering, training and development, strategic planning, change management, and organization development.
I have been recognized for providing insight and provoking positive change for leaders at all levels and in diverse disciplines. I like to think that my work is most about making others more effective in their work…
Hence this blog.
I am husband to Jamie, my wife of 34 years, and a father to Jesse, my artistically talented son. We live in Elgin Illinois USA with dogs Gracie (Lhasa Apso) and Rain (Schnorkie) and some unwelcome yet persistently reappearing pantry moths…
My fish, frogs, and hummingbirds in and around my itty bitty back yard pond are the zen-catalysts for my idle pondering (that is when I’m not fiddling with the surrounding landscape) and, during the Chicago winters, in front of the fireplace suffices quite nicely.
I very much hope you find my blog worthy of your interest and helpful in some way to the quality of your work and life.
All the best,
