This is not an indictment of planning.

I am a planner.

Truth be told, I’ve often found the planning part way more satisfying than the execution part.

And I used to be disappointed, sometimes downright distraught, when things did not go as planned.

Not so much anymore.  Because now I know what happens.

Stuff happens.  It always does…

Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans!

So do the planning.  It’s important.  It needs to be done.  It matters.

But appreciate what happens.

That’s what matters most.
