Marie “Dolly” (Verdico) Greco
October 1, 1920 – April 28, 2013
I said hello, dolly
Well, hello, dolly
It’s so nice to have you back where you belong
You’re lookin’ swell, dolly
I can tell, dolly
You’re still glowin’…you’re still crowin’
You’re still goin’ strong
I feel that room swayin’
While the band’s playin’
One of your old favorite songs from way back when
So …
Take her wrap, fellas
Find her an empty lap, fellas
Dolly’ll never go away again.
– Louis Armstrong

John, words can never be sufficient at a time like this, but I am truly sorry for your loss.
I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.
~Leo Buscaglia

My dear, Great Brother, you have again picked the best, most appropriate way to honor Mom. She loved that song and we all know she loved to dance. She is irreplaceable and forever in our hearts, as heavy as it is right now. We will laugh many times, remembering her. Love you dearly
